FeedStation Walk-Through Electric

The FeedStation Walk-Through Electric is a fully electrically controlled feeding station. It measures 3.3 metres in length and features an L’port Electric at the rear and Texas gates at the front. This station offers higher efficiency compared to a standard concentrate feeding station and contributes to improved animal welfare.

Forward exit for optimal cow flow

The FeedStation Walk-Through Electric is closed during the feeding session with the L’port Electric at the rear and a Texas gate at the front - a one-way gate that allows only forward movement. After feeding, this gate gives the cow direct access back to the herd. This setup ensures smooth and stress-free transitions in the feeding station.

Peaceful concentrate intake

At many conventional feeding stations, cows are required to exit backwards. This often leads to pushing or aggression from other cows, resulting in injuries to udders and legs. A cow re-entering the herd backwards cannot defend herself and experiences stress. In addition, the turning motion needed to exit the station places unnecessary strain on the hooves.

With Hanskamp’s FeedStation Walk-Through Electric, the cow exits the station forward, reducing stress and creating a calmer feeding environment.

Expandable options

The FeedStation Walk-Through Electric comes standard with a PipeFeeder. It can be connected to any brand of control system and is supplied without cow identification and feed control.

This extended feeding station can easily be expanded with up to four PipeFeeders, a MultiDos for dosing liquid or a Black-V for dosing powders. Multiple FeedStations can also be linked together effortlessly.
